ABOUT US
In PERUANA WARMIKUSI we are a group of students interested in making Peru a less sexist society, collecting and sharing information that can inspire Peruvian women, explaining the history and context of Peruvian women and promoting new and existing projects that can provide them with different opportunities. This blog also seeks to disseminate relevant data on why women are often oppressed for various reasons and how to deal with this situation.
and fight against it. We want women who oppose, rebel and believe in themselves, and in the same way, we want our content to be shared and viralized in order to achieve the change and impact we want so much.
Machism and oppression of women is something we see practically every day, on the streets, schools, jobs, even in our homes and daily newscasts. Unfortunately, in our society a hierarchy has been established that establishes man above women, exercising violence of different kinds. Although Peru is not the worst country in Latin America in terms of machismo, the misogyny with which women have to deal practically daily, has become an obvious and very serious problem. For this and more reasons, we not only want to empower women, but also provide them with help if they need it, as well as to understand that it is not bad to ask for help
